Wine Tasting Essentials is 'literacy for the wine lover'!
This four-session course is being led by well-known Finger Lakes winemaker, Peter Bell.
Intended for anyone regardless of tasting experience, the course is designed to deepen attendees' relationship with wine. During course, participants will learn to:
- Develop a vocabulary to describe wine that is meaningful to themselves and others.
- Empower their senses of sight, smell, taste and touch to enhance the experience of drinking wine.
- Taste classic examples of wine styles in the company of an expert.

This is an exclusive course with seats for just 16 people. Sessions will be held on Tuesday nights in April 2026: April 7, 14, 21, and 28th from 7-9pm at Fox Run Vineyards.
In addition to his winemaking background, Peter is a former LVOY tutor and a current member of the Board of Directors. He's helping LVOY enhance adult learning in a new way by offering this course. Proceeds will support LVOY's programs that provide literacy tutoring to local adults.
